Sometimes, it’s not only a situation itself that feels difficult, but also what we think and believe about it.
Thoughts like “I’m not good enough,” “They don’t respect me,” or “I have to get this right” can influence how we feel, how we react and how we meet others.
With The Work of Byron Katie, we gently look at a stressful thought and question it. Not to replace it with something more positive, but to explore what happens when we look at it from a different perspective.
And sometimes, something begins to shift simply because the thought no longer feels quite as certain as it did before.
How do The Work and horses come together?
When we do The Work with the horses, they don’t have to do anything. And neither do you.
We sit together near the horses and take time to explore your thoughts. The horses are simply free to be around us – and often, they choose to come closer.
They might stand quietly beside us, stay close for a while or sometimes quite literally offer a shoulder to lean on. Their calm presence can create a very special atmosphere – one that makes it easier to slow down, feel and stay with whatever comes up.
For me, it’s this quiet connection that makes doing The Work with the horses so special.
Do I need experience
with horses?
Not at all. You don’t need any previous experience with horses. We take everything at your pace, and you decide how close you would like to be to the horse.
You never have to do anything that doesn’t feel comfortable for you. Sometimes, simply being near the horse and observing what happens can already be part of the experience.
Sometimes understanding something is only the beginning.
With The Work, we can suddenly see a thought or a situation very differently. But for me, some of the most beautiful moments happen when we don’t need to rush on from there.
Being with the horses gives us space to stay with what has opened up – to feel it, let it settle and simply be with it for a while.
Sometimes there are no more words needed. Just a little time, a quiet moment and the horses around us.
